today i have a little inside info for all of you suckas that aren’t a part of the dark side. i am going to let you all in on a little secret called “the nod”. this little gem is something that only black people or people who are “down” know about. basically anytime two of these individuals pass each other in the street, they make eye contact and give each other “the nod”. i am not fucking joking when i tell you this, ask any of your black friends and they will tell you that it’s true.
i have made a crash course for all of you that want to be “down”
1. walk on the street and make yourself aware of all of the people around you. (black people need not worry about this step because they are always on the lookout for “the man” trying to stab them in the back)
2. once you see a black person try to initiate eye contact. no rape eyes please, that just leads to “what the fuck are you looking at asshole?”
3. once engaged hold the look for about 1-2 seconds. (this lets both parties decide if the other is down. see faq’s to see who is down)
4. now proceed to nod. (there is to be no smiling, that may mean gayness)
5. keep walking and NEVER EVER look back.
faq’s
q. who is not down?
a. anyone who likes drake, lollipops, holding their girlfriends purse, guys with lv man purses, guys who use the word “cute” in english or chinese and whole bunch of other assholes that i would never nod to, plus if you need to ask if you are “down” then you are not!
q. what if a black guy doesn’t nod when i nod to him?
a. assuming you are “down” or black he must nod, if he doesn’t then he must either be a fucken asshole or….nope he’s just a fucken asshole.
q. does the nod work on other races?
a. no. i have tried and everyone is oblivious to the nod except for black people.

Rest In Power, Troy Davis.
This Is All Kinds Of Wrong of the Day: In 1991, Troy Davis was convicted of murdering off-duty policeman Mark MacPhail in parking lot in Savannah, Georgia, and sentenced to die.
As no physical evidence connected Davis to the crime, and a murder weapon was never found, the conviction was entirely based on the testimony of nine witnesses, seven of whom have since recanted all or part of sworn statements.
Several of the witnesses said they were pressured by police officers to place the blame on Davis, while ten new witnesses have since come forward to say Sylvester “Redd” Coles — the man who reported Davis to the cops — was the real murderer.
Despite a slew of doubts concerning his guilty, Davis is on course to be executed Wednesday night at 7 PM by lethal injection. The Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles today denied his request for clemency, even after hearing from a juror in Davis’s trial who said the verdict could no longer be trusted.
A last-ditch effort to prevent Davis — who has had three previous stays of executions — from being put to death is underway, but many fear Davis’s legal avenues have unjustly reached a dead end.
I can’t even believe the level of buffoonery being enacted here by the “justice” system. This is just heartbreaking. Sign the petition if you haven’t already.
Controversial Campaign of the Day: A recently unveiled billboard sponsored by the anti-abortion group Life Always is courting controversy on the corner of Watts St. and 6th Ave in SoHo, and beyond.
“The most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb,” reads the sign, which is part of a national campaign targeting the black community. “During Black History Month, we celebrate our history, but our future is in jeopardy as a genocidal plot is carried out through abortion,” Life Always Board Member Pastor Stephen Broden is quoted as saying.
Planned Parenthood, which has a clinic situated a half-mile from the location of the billboard, released a statement calling the campaign “a reprehensible tactic,” adding that “Planned Parenthood knows that every woman, of every background, takes her health decisions seriously and makes deeply personal decisions after consulting with her doctor and with loved ones she trusts.”

UPDATE: The Rev. Al Sharpton has reportedly convinced Lamar Outdoor advertising to take the billboard down.
This is amazing and beautiful and Al Sharpton is a jackass.

I had to design a book for the history of an African American church in my area. The job was a nightmare. It was pieced together from pdfs, word doc files, spread sheets and terrible scans. After 80 hours of work the bindery made an error and put the books in a black cover, not the requested navy…
THE. BEST. EVER.
Stephanie Grace, I’ll eat you. This upsets me to my very core.
