I love the architecture in Hong Kong.  I don’t care what anyone says, there’s something genuinely honest and timelessly beautiful about walking around at ground level and looking up to see this in all directions.

Greetings from the Fatherland

It’s my last night in Hong Kong and I’m thoroughly devastated.  The two weeks I’ve been here have been absolutely MAGICAL (give or take).  I’ve always wanted to come out here, ever since I was a wee one and now that I have, I’m pretty sure I never want to go back to the lands of GMT -5.

Oh man.  There are so many things in this video that speak to me as a Jamaican, designer, (former) dancehall king and musician.  I honestly don’t think you could duplicate the way I feel about the greatness of this video without being all four of those things.  That being said, there’s a reason Junko won the Dancehall Queen title.  TWICE.

World Tour 2012

But not really a world tour.

I’m thinking about springing for one of those round-the-world tickets as a graduation gift to myself, two years from now.  There are a number of countries I really want to visit and just about as many couches waiting for me when I get to them so why not seize the opportunity?

Nothing’s set in stone and I’m still looking into the logistics but so far the itinerary seems to resemble something like this:

  • Cayman to Miami
  • Miami to LA
  • LA to Auckland, NZ
  • Auckland, NZ to Wellington, NZ
  • Wellington, NZ (back) to Auckland, NZ
  • Auckland, NZ to Tokyo, JP
  • Tokyo, JP to Hong Kong
  • Hong Kong to Manila, PH
  • Manila, PH (back) to Hong Kong
  • Hong Kong to Singapore
  • Singapore to Beijing, CH
  • Beijing, CH to San Francisco
  • San Francisco to Sao Paolo, BR

And back to Miami again, I guess.  It’d be an interesting venture, for sure, and it’d definitely get my passport back to peak conditioning again (it’s been a while since my last wild international adventure; referring to the Central American Easter Roadtrip of 07).

Just thought I’d share.
