Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby - Louis Jordan (Tom & Jerry)
I grew up on this and am a better person for it.
Number One Super Guy.
Clearly, the guy is my Power Animal.
Salvador Dali x Walt Disney - Destino
Way back when, Walt Disney asked Salvador Dali to do a cartoon for him. Unfortunately, the result was so strange (for back then, anyway) that it got shelved and it wasn’t until 2003 that the footage they could salvage was put together and finished.
Jesus 2000
Certainly not the musical, by Father Richard Ho Lung, I saw when I was 11. Absolutely beautiful. You gotta give it to the French for knowing their electro and immaculate sound design in animation!
Fictional Women I Wish Were Real So I Could Date Them [Vol. 2]
- Zatanna Zatara
She does sold out magic shows and she saves the world on the side. The only thing cooler about a woman with Superman on speed dial is the fact that she can keep me entertained with card tricks. And for bonus points, she rocked the top hat before T-Pain or even Slash. - April O’Neal
Any woman who’s cool with hanging out with mutant turtles and a rat in a sewer already wins brownie points since she’s probably not phased by guy-isms (eg. engine grease, sweat from playing sports, etc.). On top of that, she’s a redhead and a computer programmer, or a journalist if you’re referring to the 1987 cartoon. Whichever one, techie girls and literate girls are equally hot. - Freida Goren
She’s obviously cool with hanging out with comicbook geeks since her best friend is Virgil Hawkins. She’s also the only white girl I can think of, real or fictional, who does so AND can deal with black people’s hair. If we’re going to have a future together, this is a bridge we’re going to have to cross. - Natasha Irons
I love a brainy girl who can also keep it real. Reprogramming Superman’s Kryptonian robot to speak in ebonics is probably as real as it gets with a command-line interface. She also looks good in silver, which is good. If she wore gold, she’d clash with my jewelry. - Beatriz da Costa
She’s Brazilian. She’s on fire and it’s GREEN. Need I say more?
The Best Day Ever (from SpongeBob Squarepants) beatbox remix!
This makes me so happy!
If you know anything about me, at all, you know I had to. Josie & the Pussycats was one of my favourite comics as a kid. I also loved the movie (fully aware of how awful it was) and Josie McCoy even heads up my list of fictional crushes. Their entire gig wardrobe consists of leopard print bikins, leopard print pumps and leopard print ears. Anyone ever consider they may just want to kick it in a comfy pair of dunks once in a while?

I remember coming up as a kid and watching Oh Yeah! Cartoons on Nickelodeon, every Sunday after coming home from church. I also remember the What a Cartoon!/World Premiere Toons show that was on Cartoon Network bringing me awesome stuff like Dexter’s Laboratory and Johnny Bravo. I owe you half my childhood Frederator and I love the podcast!
